Match Ticket refunds
|
Ok I been ill a bit and been reselling my ticket lately on the ticket exchange for a reduced price e.g. palace £45 down to £33
Where do this money go? I can't see anywhere you can reuse ?
Is it only going to be available against your next season ticket ?

Ta this way I guess it stops a few not renewing their season tickets after this shit season to date.
I brought a Man City cup ticket online for my mate but couldn't see how I could reuse the credits I already have.
Oh maybe this season is all just a bad dream and I will awake fit again and back at the Boleyn

I'd give my ticket away. Or let it go to waste before I gave this board the chance to make a couple of quid selling it.

Pal of mine has £150 credit on his account from last season, but no current season ticket at the OS. He went to the ticket office on Monday to upgrade a kid's ticket for the Man Utd game and asked if he could use the credit. He was told it could only be used to buy a season ticket but they are "working on changing this to include match day tickets".
It's absolutely disgraceful if you ask me.

wrighty when i went on to sell it. it listed it as £45 but i only get £33.36 after Porn Dwarf Tax
Agreed disgrace if cant use the refunds elsewhere, if my health dont improve then i wont be renewing my season ticket so i guess they keep my money.

Apparently. Help me out. They sell my ticket for £45 and give me £33.36 in limited credit. I say no thanks and give it to my mate for nothing. I'm thick because...?

Interesting to hear comments made about using credit balance to purchase tickets. I was told by the ticket office that i could not use my credit towards purchase of Man City cup tickets as their system was not working. I suspected at the time that they would only allow the credit to go towards next season's season ticket. Why advertise the facility in the first place if they won't let you use the credit when you want. What other business would work like this?

You think that's bad? If I "sold" my kid's ticket via Tick Xch, all I would have got back is just £2 credit to be used towards next season's ST renewal. But of course the club will sell it for well above their usual matchday price to somebody else - or expect me to pay no less than £37 to upgrade it to adult! (Price quoted by ticket office for an adult ticket upgrade in the same price band for Crystal Palace, a Category B PL game. Or have WH suddenly decided to "upgrade" the match category because they're London rivals?)

Anyone see goldos tweet pre arsenal? Someone moaned bout £50 kids ticket being more than usual prices, and he said £50 per match IS the normal kids ticket price, but other games are reduced....

Man City League game is CAT B, midweek Feb on TV, City Superstars ain't that super after all.
Thought that this would easily be CAT A, with only 3-4,000 to sell
London Tourists and Thomas Cook lot would pay top dollar no problem !!

Same, that's why I can't understand the £33 figure. I'm sure it's much lower

I've now been quoted £28 for upgrading to adult for Palace. So does it depend on who you see at the ticket office? Hardly inspires confidence. I still think that's exorbitant considering that the ticket was always mine anyway. All they do is literally press a few buttons to note the upgrade, they don't even have to find a seller. What's wrong with just charging a reasonable admin/ handling fee for such a straightforward transaction?

What Band seat are you upgrading ?

Band 5. I'd rather let the seat go empty than be ripped off for " doing the right thing". You'd be surprised how quickly people lose interest in my free kid's ticket when told of the club's ticket upgrade price...! BTW, I'm told that Chelsea don't allow upgrades of any kind on any of their tickets. Strictly Ticket Exchange only, as with all other PL sides (yeah, right, tell that to the touts and ticketing websites...)

If I'm understanding you correctly, are you saying that an adult should be able to use a kid's ticket without paying the adult price?
Why wouldn't we all just buy kid's ticket and do what you're saying every game? That ticket is worth £5.21 - why shouldn't an adult pay the difference? How is that a ripoff?
I can only think I'm misunderstanding this.

Re: Match Ticket refunds

Mach day Band 5 price for Crystal Palace is £30
They offer you £2 to sell it on ticket trader or you can pay an extra £28 to upgrade it
Therefore you'll be paying matchday prices,
If you ticket trade it they get the £2, as they sell it at up to £30 or £15
If your not using it much might as well up grade to an adult one
